2021 marks the “first century” (the centenary of the foundation of the Chinese Communist Party) of the “two centuries.” The Chinese government has declared that it has successfully achieved a 'moderately prosperous society.' 2021 was also the year to start a new journey to realize the 'great revival of the Chinese nation' by 2049, the “second centenary” (the centenary of the foundation of a New China). The Northeast Asian History Foundation looked into China's politics, history, culture, and the Korean War, centering on Chinese media reports released in the second half of 2021.
