독립전쟁 100주년에 돌아보는 한국광복군의 의의
The significance of the Korean Independence Army in the 100th Anniversary of the Independence War 100 years ago, in 1920, the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea proclaimed the Independence War. And 20 years later, the Provisional Government, which was established in Chongqing, China, founded the Korean Independence Army. Progress for independence led to the establishment of the Korean Independence Army. But the reality seemed to be in a fog. The Provisional Government has assembled people to do independent movement in foreign lands and even in the difficulty of conscription. And they also tried to build up the military power of the Korean Independence Army by gathering the people scattered in China. In the second half of World War II, it secured sovereignty and came to fruition of the Independence War. This was the recognition of the will and capacity of the Independence War, which lasted for decades, and it was also a diplomatic achievement.

From An Monarchy To Democratic Republic The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Independence Army The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Independence Army presented the direction of the independence movement to their compatriots. And focused on integrating those who are doing independence movements. We were deprived of country by Japanese imperialism and were colonized, but what was able to overcome it was the power of the independence movement led by the Provisional Government. This is also a national and spiritual asset that we should cherish in enjoying the independent country that the seniors dreamed of. This year marks 100 years since the provisional government declared it the Year of Independence War. I met with Professor Emeritus Han Si-jun, one of the most prominent researchers in the field of Provisional Government and Korean Independence Army research, and talked.

First Russian Minister in Joseon ‘Karl Ivanovich Weber’ and Korea First Russian Minister in Korea 'Karl Ivanovich Weber'(Карл Иванович Вебер, 1841–1910) worked as a diplomat for 12years(1885–97) in Seoul. This history is unprecedented compared to other diplomatic representatives of the other powers in Seoul during the Gojong era. Why would he do that? Was he incompetent? Why did he stay in Joseon for so long? Why did he leave the diplomatic stage? This is why we should pay attention not only to Korean modern history but also to modern history.

A Book Revealing the Illegality of the Mobilization of sexual slave victims for the Japanese imperial army 『Source Book on issues of sexual slavery victims for the Japanese imperial army』 On May 27, 1997, a committee on accounts meeting was held at the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament. Shinzo Abe, a novice politician in his 40s, talked about the Kono Statement at the meeting: The Kono Statement, which officially recognized the forced mobilization of the sexual slave victims for the Japanese imperial army and expressed apology and reflection, included contents about 'sexual slave victims' in the textbook, which led to middle school students learning about 'sexual slave victims' wrongly.

Japanese capture of sea lion is evidence of plundering the Korean peninsula In June 2020, a video was released on the website and YouTube of The Japan Institute of International Affairs(hereinafter referred to as the Institute), an affiliated organization under the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The video shows the testimony that Japanese fishermen have caught Sea Lion in the vicinity of Dokdo before Dokdo was incorporated into Shimane Prefecture in 1905.

International Solidarity for the Protection of Dokdo: A cradle for cultivating the guardians of Dokdo In March 2005, the Japanese government enacted Takeshima Day. So, people gathered to recognize the importance and seriousness of sovereignty over Dokdo. From then on, they began activities to publicize the territorial sovereignty of Dokdo to the world. The Japanese government lobbied Dokdo, claiming it was Takeshima. This was the occasion for the launch of the International Solidarity for the Protection of Dokdo, which said it would protect sovereignty over Dokdo with 7 million overseas Koreans.

Lee Myung-gu's Statement, the Son of Lee Nak-ho About 21,000 Koreans who forced into Japan's aggressive war were improperly enshrined to the Tokyo War Shrine, which glorifies the aggressive war. The bereaved families say, "The Japanese government should not insult the father and brother anymore." And they have filed suit against the Japanese government three times since 2001, strongly speaking to abolish improperly enshrine. Currently, a lawsuit filed in 2013 is ongoing. NAHF's newsletter will serialize the statements and photos of six plaintiffs provided by the Association for Requesting Compensation for the Pacific War Victims. This is an excerpt from only a part of the statement. The whole story is in the book 『Colonial Liquidation and Yasukuni』 published by NAHF.
