The Northeast Asian History Foundation was established in September 2006 to insightfully overcome discord and conflicts arising from distorted perceptions of history, and bring peace and prosperity to East Asia. Now international circumstances surrounding the Korean peninsula are quite precarious and challenging. This calls for the Foundation to take on a greater role. The Foundation will therefore lay the stepping stone for historical reconciliation as it strives toward peace and co-prosperity.
