The Northeast Asian History Foundation (President Park Ji-hang) held the 2nd Korea-Japan Next-Generation Researchers Forum on Friday, March 13, in the foundation’s main conference room under the theme, “Korea-Japan Relations as Seen from Japan: Experience, Region, and Representation.”

This forum was a follow-up event to the academic conference “Korea-Japan Relations as Seen from Japan: Society, History, and Politics,” which was held in July 2025. The foundation once again opened a “window for dialogue” so that next-generation researchers from both Korea and Japan could better understand each other’s perspectives and explore new viewpoints.

President Park Ji-hang stated, “The expression ‘next generation’ in the name of this forum reflects the foundation’s commitment to sustaining academic exchange over the long term.” She added, “I hope this event will help bridge the generational gap in academic exchange and serve as an opportunity to build a foundation for sustainable Korea-Japan relations in the future.”
