NAHF Institute on International Relations and Historical Dialogue invited Kim Heung-kyu, professor of political diplomacy at Ajou University and director of the China Policy Institute, to hold an expert meeting on the theme of 'Present and Prospects of U.S.-China Relations Over the Korean Peninsula' in the conference room on June 17. The meeting was presided over by Kwak Jin-oh, a researcher at NAHF. At this meeting, we discussed the current status of strategic competition between the U.S. and China after COVID-19 and discussed various options that Korea can respond to. The conclusion of this meeting was that it is important for Korea to avoid the dichotomous approach of 'pro-America or pro-China' in the future and to have the ability to actively and flexibly respond to changes in the region.
