- Promoting harmony and communication, and putting social responsibility into practice
through visits to historic sites and volunteer activities
On Friday, April 17, the Northeast Asian History Foundation held its first-half 2026 staff workshop in Yeoncheon County and Pocheon City.
This workshop was organized to strengthen harmony and mutual communication among executives and staff, broaden historical awareness through field visits to historic sites, and put the value of social responsibility into practice through environmental cleanup volunteer activities. On that day, participants visited Horogoru Fortress in Yeoncheon, the Jeongok Prehistory Museum, and the Gurai Trail, the first course of the Hantan River Columnar Joint Path, where they took part in a variety of experiential programs.
In the morning, executives and staff toured the area around Horogoru Fortress in Yeoncheon and carried out environmental cleanup volunteer activities. Through the site visit, they deepened their understanding of the historic remains, and by directly participating in volunteer work, they reflected on the meaning of environmental protection and social responsibility in the local community. They then visited the Jeongok Prehistory Museum to explore prehistoric heritage and the historical and cultural value of the region.
In the afternoon, they walked along the Gurai Trail, the first course of the Hantan River Columnar Joint Path, enjoying time for communication and exchange in nature. Walking together, the participants strengthened their sense of solidarity and cooperation within the organization.
This workshop served as an opportunity to reinforce communication and harmony among members while broadening their understanding of historic sites and the local community. The Foundation plans to continue fulfilling its role and responsibilities as a public institution through a variety of activities in the future.
